Prithiwiraj Mukherjee, Manager – Support Services joined the Group in 2002 as an archivist and within six months he was promoted to assisting Mr Sanjay Jhunjhunwala as his Secretary. As he says, “Over time my responsibilities increased and I enjoyed all the challenges that came my way. Now I look after the corporate secretariat and help co-ordinate the legal aspects of our work. I also help in making the agreements and deeds as I now have gained experience of 20 years in the legal department.”

Prithiwiraj Mukherjee had begun his career as an assistant to a lawyer who practiced at the High Court before joining Mani Group and this initial start has been of great help in his career path.

About his current job he points out, “The Group has changed a lot in terms of not only its net worth but also its attitude and vision. I began work when there were few people working in a relatively small setup and a homely atmosphere. Today, we have different departments and divisions dealing with specific work and we have understood the value of hands-on assignments and for me, personally, I can now use my experience to perform better.” Today, Prithiwiraj Mukherjee reiterates that his experience of working with the Group has helped him to grow not only in his career but also as a person who is now confident of tackling any task with sincerity and skill. Mr Jhunjhunwala has been a constant source of inspiration and he says, “Sanjay-ji is extremely organised and has a vast knowledge of all aspects of the real estate business. His curiosity to learn and gain knowledge is phenomenal. He is constantly thinking of the welfare of his employees but he is not willing to make any compromises regarding work or business ethics. He has two aspects to his personality. While his attitude towards those who are genuinely in trouble is full of kindness, he will not tolerate work-shirkers. He feels that the quality of our products has to be high and beyond the expectations of our customers. And to achieve his dream he has to have a dedicated and hard-working team.”
